Every farrier or hoof trimmer claims to always do the right thing and each of them has the appropriate foundation for this. The reality is that this is not always the case. Accepting our inabilities in some areas or recognizing our limitations of knowledge is not something everyone does.

We always believe we are doing the right thing until someone shows us otherwise. It is important to know that the horse suffers from the consequences of our inabilities and ignorance. Putting ourselves in other viewpoints helps us not just stick to our own way of working, which may be wrong.

The incompetence of the hoof trimmer must not affect the nature of the horse.

To do this we must be open and willing to listen and try other methods to find out what is best for the horse.

The incompetence of the hoof trimmer must not affect the nature of the horse.
