General Terms and Conditions of F-Balance®

Effective from 22 August 2026

1. Provider and scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to contracts concluded through Teachable with:

Daniel Anz
F-Balance®
Seestraße 43
83209 Prien am Chiemsee
Germany

Telephone: +49 174 6405636
Email: info@balance-f.com

Hereinafter referred to as “F-Balance”.

These Terms apply to:

  1. online theory courses and other digital content provided by F-Balance;
  2. reservations sold by F-Balance for practical courses subsequently delivered by authorised F-Balance schools or academies.

The terms of the organising schools and other independent providers do not form part of these Terms.

2. Formation of the contract

The presentation of a product on Teachable does not constitute a binding contractual offer.

The customer submits a binding offer by completing the checkout process and selecting the button that places an order with an obligation to pay. The contract is concluded when the customer receives a purchase confirmation or access to the purchased product is activated.

Before placing the order, the customer can review and correct the information entered.

The contract and order information are stored by Teachable and may be viewed through the user account where Teachable provides this functionality.

3. Prices, payment and invoices

The prices displayed on the product page at the time of purchase apply. Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices include any legally applicable VAT.

Payments are processed through Teachable and Stripe using the payment methods offered during checkout.

The invoice is generated automatically in the name of Daniel Anz and provided electronically to the customer.

Access to a product or issuance of a reservation may depend on successful receipt of payment.

4. Online theory course

Once payment has been confirmed, the customer receives immediate access to the purchased online theory course.

Access is personal and has no fixed expiry date. In principle, the course is available 24 hours a day throughout the year, subject to maintenance, updates, technical failures, force majeure and the availability of Teachable and other infrastructure providers.

“Access with no fixed expiry date” means that no ordinary expiry date is established. It does not guarantee uninterrupted technical availability or require a particular platform or technology to be maintained permanently.

If the course has to be discontinued permanently, F-Balance will seek to provide a reasonable alternative means of accessing the purchased content. The customer’s statutory rights remain unaffected.

F-Balance may update, correct or reorganise content where this is intended to preserve its quality, accuracy or currency and does not materially alter the nature of the course purchased.

5. Account and access credentials

The Teachable account and access credentials are personal. They may not be shared, sold, published or made available to third parties.

Customers must keep their login details secure and promptly report any unauthorised use.

F-Balance may temporarily block access where there are reasonable indications of misuse. Before access is permanently blocked, the customer will be given an opportunity to clarify the matter, unless there is an immediate risk to security or third-party rights.

6. Reservations for practical courses

F-Balance sells reservations through Teachable that allow the holder to request a place on a practical course delivered by an authorised Balance F school or academy.

The reservation price:

  • covers only the reservation of a course place;
  • does not include the price of the practical course;
  • does not include travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, tools or other expenses;
  • does not guarantee a particular date, location, school or instructor unless expressly confirmed.

The reservation has no fixed expiry date. It may be used for an available course delivered by an authorised school, subject to availability, fulfilment of the course requirements and acceptance of the registration by the organising school.

7. Contract with the organising school

The practical course is independently organised, delivered and invoiced by the relevant school.

The student enters into a separate contract directly with that school and pays the practical course price to the school. Participation, cancellation, safety, liability and payment conditions for the practical course are governed by the school’s own terms.

The occasional participation of Daniel Anz as an instructor or adviser does not make Daniel Anz the contractual organiser of the practical course or replace the school as the student’s contractual partner.

Before registering for a particular date, the student must obtain information about:

  • the practical course price;
  • timetable and location;
  • participation requirements;
  • cancellation policy;
  • required equipment;
  • safety requirements;
  • the organising school’s terms.

8. Transfer of a reservation

An unused reservation may be transferred to another person.

The transfer must be notified in advance by email to info@balance-f.com, stating the name and email address of the original and new holder.

The transfer becomes effective when confirmed by F-Balance. From that point, the original holder loses the right to use the reservation.

The new holder must satisfy the participation requirements and accept the applicable terms.

9. Withdrawal and cancellation of a reservation

Consumers have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal described at the end of these Terms.

Once the statutory withdrawal period has expired, the reservation price is not refundable following unilateral cancellation by the customer. However, the reservation:

  • remains valid without a fixed expiry date;
  • may be used for another available course;
  • may be transferred to another person;
  • may exceptionally be refunded by Balance F in particularly serious and documented personal circumstances.

If a confirmed course date is cancelled by the school, the student will be offered the option of transferring the reservation to a new date. If the student does not wish to accept an alternative date, the student may request a refund of the reservation price from F-Balance.

F-Balance and the school will not reimburse travel, accommodation or other indirect expenses resulting from a cancellation, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

If it becomes permanently impossible to use reservations at any authorised F-Balance school, the price of unused reservations will be refunded.

Courses, texts, videos, images, presentations, graphics, downloads, teaching methods and other materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

Purchase grants only a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the content for the customer’s own learning purposes.

Without prior written permission, customers may not:

  • copy or distribute content;
  • give materials or access credentials to third parties;
  • record, download or reproduce videos unless expressly permitted;
  • publish materials online or on social media;
  • translate, edit or create derivative products;
  • use the content to provide courses or train third parties;
  • use the content to train artificial intelligence systems;
  • exploit the materials commercially.

Files expressly made available for download may be stored and used personally within the stated limits.

11. Learning outcomes and professional responsibility

F-Balance provides theoretical and practical knowledge concerning equine podiatry, hoof trimming and shoeing. Participation does not in itself guarantee any particular professional, financial, therapeutic or horse-specific result.

The course content does not replace veterinary assessment or assistance from other qualified professionals where required.

Each participant is responsible for acting within their knowledge, experience, qualifications and legal authority and for complying with applicable animal-welfare and safety requirements.

12. Liability

F-Balance has unlimited liability:

  • for intent and gross negligence;
  • for injury to life, body or health;
  • under applicable product liability legislation;
  • where an express guarantee has been provided;
  • in any other case where liability cannot legally be limited.

For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract.

Liability for other cases of slight negligence is excluded.

F-Balance is not responsible for services independently provided by schools, academies, Teachable, Stripe or other independent providers. This does not affect F-Balance’s statutory liability for its own actions.

13. Force majeure and technical failures

F-Balance is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, conflicts, epidemics, official measures, strikes, power failures, general internet outages or failures affecting external providers.

F-Balance will take reasonable measures to restore the service or provide an appropriate alternative.

14. Minors

Children under 15 may not participate in practical courses.

Participants aged between 15 and 17 require consent from their legal representative and must be accompanied throughout the event by at least one parent or legal representative, unless the organising school imposes stricter requirements.

Online purchases by minors require approval from their legal representative.

15. Photographs and recordings

Purchasing or attending a course does not automatically grant permission to photograph or record the participant or publish their image.

The use of photographs, video or audio recordings for informational or promotional purposes requires separate, voluntary and revocable consent.

Refusal to provide consent does not affect the right to participate in the course.

16. Applicable law and jurisdiction

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.

For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection provided by mandatory provisions of the country of their habitual residence.

For merchants, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law, the place of business of Daniel Anz will be the place of jurisdiction where such an agreement is legally permitted.

17. Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

18. Final provisions

Express individual agreements with the customer take precedence over these Terms.

If a provision is invalid or does not become part of the contract, the remaining provisions remain effective. The relevant statutory provisions apply in place of the affected provision.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date on which the contract is concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform:

of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example by letter or email.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments received in connection with the affected contract without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.

We will use the same means of payment used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged for the refund.

Digital content and immediate access

The right of withdrawal for the digital course expires early only where:

  1. the consumer has expressly agreed that performance may begin before the withdrawal period expires;

  3. confirmation of the contract has been provided on a durable medium.

If this consent is not provided, access to the digital content may be delayed until the withdrawal period has expired.
